The Dean’s Speech

The Faculty of Letters and Languages is one of the oldest faculties at Ouargla University. It serves as a bridge that facilitates communication between various disciplines, aiming to empower students in the field of languages, including the Arabic language.

Since my appointment as the dean, the faculty has adopted a different vision and approach, based on several pillars and the achievement of various goals with the help and guidance of Allah. The faculty is dedicated to overseeing scientific research, organizing scientific events, and maintaining external relations. It is a purely academic institution that ensures the complete care of postgraduate students and strives to provide them with excellent academic training, enabling them to become competent and exceptional researchers.

In addition, the faculty focuses on promoting scientific research by closely monitoring scientific research activities through research units and laboratories, as well as organizing regular evaluative meetings for scientific research.

Moreover, the dean's office establishes a communicative bridge with the outside world through external relations, by monitoring and organizing various scientific events such as high-level international and national conferences, as well as valuable study days that contribute to enhancing the faculty's scientific endeavours.

At our faculty, starting from the dean and the academic staff, heads of departments, and all the employees, we are dedicated to addressing the concerns of professors, students, doctoral candidates, researchers, and creating a suitable environment for scientific discussions and intellectual growth. We also strive to provide a broad space for cultural activities and intellectual influence through student and employees' clubs.

In conclusion, I extend my sincere gratitude and appreciation to everyone for their steady support. I invite you all to continue working diligently, showing utmost care, and not hesitating to offer us your prayers, advice, and guidance.

Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Houssin Dahou
